ATFL is teaming up with the Del Sol Classic Horse Shows in Del Mar, CA to offer a Hunter and Jumper Thoroughbred series.

June 20
En Fuego Cantina & Grill in Del Mar, CA has chosen ATFL as their June Charity of the Month. Join ATFL throughout the month and on June 20 as we host a special evening for the horses.

August 4
After the Finish Line's "A Tribute to the Majesty of Thoroughbreds" will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Del Mar, CA.

October 23
Run to raise funds for ATFL at the Race for the Rescues. This is a 5K (3 mile) and 10K (6 mile) run/walk fundraiser at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena for animal welfare foundations.

We hope you can attend our fundraisers to support the Thoroughbred ex-racehorses. Please contact us at if you want more information. Sponsors and volunteers are welcome. If you cannot attend our fundraisers please consider making a donation.

After the Finish Line awards grants to the rescue organizations in April. For the other 11 months of the year ATFL awards emergency funds. Our March emergency funds will help horses in Arizona, New Jersey and California.

Equine Encore Foundation in Arizona requested transportation funds for Soupy, a 10 year old gelding whose sire is Alphabet Soup. He raced 73 times at the California racetracks and racing fairs earning $367k. We applaud his owner for helping Soupy transition off the track and into a second career.

Tijuana River Valley Rescue in California requested eye surgery funds for Bo Bo Ben. This 18-year-old gelding raced 6 times at Turf Paradise earning $2,600. Ben later developed moon blindness in one eye. With ATFL’s help, he will get the surgery he needs to relieve his pain and prevent further complications.

Ever After Horse Rescue in New Jersey requested medical funds for Teddy Ballgame. Teddy earned $111k racing in New York, New Jersey and Florida. Teddy foundered and developed a joint infection. Unfortunately, this brave Thoroughbred who fought so hard to live, had to be humanely euthanized.

Neigh Savers Foundation in California requested surgery and medical funds for Storm Flash. This 4-year-old gelding did not show promise at Golden Gate Fields racetrack. Unfortunately, he kicked his stall wall injuring his rear right coffin bone. Storm Flash will get the surgery and rehabilitation he needs to heal.

After the Finish Line works hard to help the Thoroughbred ex-racehorses. You make it possible for us to give opportunities to these horses. We thank you for support and donations.
